Trisodium citrate dihydrate is a White Crystalline Powder, Colorless Crystals or Granules substance with a salty, slightly acidic taste. It is soluble in water and glycerol, but insoluble in alcohol and some other organic solvents. Trisodium citrate dihydrate is widely used in various industries and has numerous applications due to its unique properties.
One of the most common uses of Trisodium citrate dihydrate is as flavoring agents, buffers, emulsifiers, bulking agents, stabilizers and preservatives in food and beverage production. It is often added to processed cheese products, jams, and meat products to enhance their texture and extend their shelf life. Additionally, it is used in soft drinks and sports drinks to regulate acidity and improve their flavor.

Application:
1.In Food Industry:
- used as flavors, stabilizing agent, buffering agent, chelating agent, nutritional supplement of buttermilk, emulsifying agent and flavoring agent in food and beverage industry;
2. Detergents:
- It can replace sodium tripolyphosphate as a non-toxic detergent additive.
3. In Pharmaceutical Industry:
- It can be used in anti-blood clotting.
4. Other Application:
- It can also be used in brewing, injection, photography drugs and electroplating etc.
